A massive thank-you to everyone who has donated pennies to our Cancer Research UK Relay For Life mile of pennies appeal. We have now reached our £10,000 total which is equal to 12.63 miles - Peterhead to Toll O' Birness. We intend to keep collecting your pennies to help in the fight against cancer and are now heading to Ellon so keep the coins rolling in.

A Prize Bingo in aid of the Fraserburgh Lifeboat Station will be held at 7 for a 7.30pm start at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre. All welcome.

Tuesday 24th October

Peterhead’s Jake Buchan will be attending his very own first book signing at Scroggies, Broad Street, Peterhead to sign copies of his autobiography from 10.30am. Books cost £5. Proceeds will be donated to the Neonatal Unit at Aberdeen Hospital.

Wednesday 25th October

Banff & District Accordion and Fiddle Club meeting at the Banff Springs Hotel at 7.30pm with Alan Small and Gemma Donald. For further information, call 01346 518754.

Thursday 26th October

Sandhaven & Pitullie Public Hall is hosting a Halloween disco from 7 to 9pm. Entry is £5 which includes juice, crisps and sweetie bag. There’s prizes for the best costumes. Call 01346 514 221 for details and tickets.

Friday 27th October

A Halloween disco will be held from, 7pm to 11.30pm at the Buchanhaven Hearts Football club. Fancy Dress and fun for all the family. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. Tickets available from any team member of Davie & Frasers Gang of the Peterhead Relay For Life.

Are you 'Top of the Toon'? Come along for a fun Quiz Night at the Peterhead Football Club from 7pm. Teams of 4 cost £10. Sandwiches Provided, Cash Prizes and Raffles on the night, Cash prize and Trophy to the winning team. In aid of Light Up Peterhead.

The Police Scotland Youth Volunteers are hosting a Rock & Roll Bingo night at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre. Doors open at 6.30 for a 7pm start. Entry is £5 for 4 games with various prizes to be won. Children welcome.

Saturday 28th October

A Halloween night will be held in the Elizabethan Bar & Lounge Fraserburgh starting @ 7pm. Tickets are £4 each with all proceeds being split between Fraserburgh Cats Protection and MS Society Scotland.

‘Men of All Ages’ will host the Christian Mens Breakfast Rally in the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre. Doors open at 8.15 for an 8.30 start until 11.30am. Speakers include Douglas McNab of Newmacher and John McDonnel of St. Combs. Breakfast is £10 payable at the door.

Fraserburgh Old Parish Church Wednesday Club are hosting a Butter Morning at the Fraserburgh Church Centre, Barrasgate Road from 10am to 12pm. Tickets are £2, payable at the door.

A Buttery Morning will be held and will take place at the Strichen Legion from 10am to 12pm in aid of Cornerstone Strichen. Entry is £2 includes pancackes/butteries. Raffles donations appreciated.

Sunday 29th October

The Strichen Playgroup will hold its annual Halloween Hunt at Strichen Lake from 12pm-2pm. As well as the Halloween Hunt there will be prizes for the best Halloween lantern and the best Halloween fancy dress. A small selection of stalls will also be available to browse.

The Peterthead Mens Shed will officially launch with an open day from 11.30am to 2.30pm at Unit 1, Skene Street, Peterhead. Come along and meet new friends, share knowledge and enjoy free membership. Officially opened by Jim McInally, Peterhead FC Manager.

Wednesday 1st November

The Fraserburgh Branch of Marie Curie Care and Support is holding a Quiz Night at the Bancar Hotel, Lonmay at 7.30 pm. Entry is £10 per table. Raffles and Refreshments.

Saturday 4th November

Come and visit all Santa's Reindeer at Clerkhill School Christmas Fayre from 12 noon - 4.00pm. Meet Princess Belle and Chris The Wrestler. Attractions include Santa's Grotto, Craft Stalls, face painting, raffles, games, tombola and more. Entry is free with teas and coffees available for £1.50.

A Buttery and Pancake morning in aid of ‘The Guide Dogs for the Blind’ will be held in the Fraserburgh United Reformed Church Hall from 10am to 12 noon. Various stalls.

The Ban-Car Hotel in Lonmay will host a Day At The Races in aid of Friends Of Anchor. Doors open at 5.30 for a 6pm start. Enjoy complimentary prosecco on arrival followed by a 3 course meal, horse racing and a fantastic 70s & 80s tribute act. Tickets cost £35 – book your table now on 01346 532578.

The Burns Road bonfire will take place at 7:30pm. Refreshments will be available.

Friday 10th November

A Concert by the Scottish Accordian Music Group will be held in the Lonmay Hall from 7.30pm with teas and raffles. Tickets are £6 and are available from selected local shops or by calling 01346 582 423.

Grangepark Care Home in Peterhead are holding a ‘Fish and Chip’ night at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £8.50 and are available from the home.

The Peterhead Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society is now running classes in Peterhead and Longside. Why Suffer in Silence is a person centered non-judgmental emotional listening support Service for Depression, Anxiety, Stress and Mental Health. A new support group “It’s All About Me” for sufferers of M.E & F.M Chronic Fatigue Syndrome meets at the Fraserburgh Leisure Centre (Lounge Area).
